DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTION: "THE EXISTENCE OF DELMAN

Abstract

A documentary is a programme that recreates the facts of real life.    Delman is a traditional two-, three- or four-wheeled transport vehicle that does not use electric power but uses animal power, namely horses as a substitute. Delman was once a triumphant transformation tool in its day, delman was once used as transport outside the city, especially before trains and two-wheeled vehicles operated. Over time delmans are only used for short distances or only in rural areas, this applies since the operation of motorised vehicles and trains. In its development over the years, the delman has changed its function, which used to be a means of transport now functions as entertainment for tourism facilities or operates around the housing estate as a vehicle for children's entertainment. In Jakarta, the change in delman function is also caused by local government regulations that prohibit delmans from operating as a mode of public transport due to hygiene and health issues. In making this journal we conducted research first, the type of research we used in this research was qualitative research and development with a cyclic strategy model with data search techniques through observation interviews and documentation. The reason for using qualitative research is to find out the development of the delman over time from the past to the present
