Pengaruh Efektivitas Layanan Bimbingan Karir terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Siswa SMK Negeri 1 Batik Surakarta

Abstract

Students of vocational high schools (SMK) are targeted to obtain employment after completing three years of formal education. Within this period, proper preparation is considered sufficient as a foundation for entering the workforce. Of course, this does not escape the attention of teachers, especially in counseling guidance that focuses on career guidance for students’ future. Therefore, this quantitative study was conducted to determine how influential career guidance is on students’ work readiness, using a sample of 80 eleventh-grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Batik Surakarta.

Siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) ditargetkan dapat memperoleh pekerjaan setelah menempuh pendidikan formal selama tiga tahun. Dengan periode tersebut, persiapan yang matang sangat cukup untuk bekal di dunia kerja. Tentu hal ini tidak luput dari atensi guru terlebih pada bimbingan konseling yang bertemakan bimbingan karir siswa di masa depan. Dengan itu, penelitian dengan metode kuantitatif ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa berpengaruhnya bimbingan karir siswa pada kesiapan kerja dengan sampel 80 murid kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Batik Surakarta.
