Penerapan Meditasi Mindfulness untuk Melatih Fokus dan Pengendalian Perilaku Anak ADHD
Abstract
This study aims to describe the application of mindfulness meditation as an intervention strategy to improve focus and behavioral control in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The research approach used was a qualitative case study design. The subjects consisted of two students diagnosed with ADHD, one each from grades 3 and 5, and their class teacher, who served as a supporting informant. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of mindfulness meditation in the form of conscious breathing exercises, simple body scans, and mindful listening had a positive impact on children's focus, reduced impulsive behavior, and increased self-awareness. This study concluded that mindfulness can be used as an applicable and effective non-pharmacological intervention strategy in elementary school settings.
