DARK TOURISM SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF WISATA EDUKATIF: A LITERATURE REVIEW
Abstract
Dark tourism merupakan jenis pariwisata baru yang mulai mendapat perhatian dalam dekade terakhir. Dark tourism merupakan bentuk pariwisata yang berfokus pada kunjungan ke lokasi-lokasi yang memiliki sejarah tragedi, bencana, kematian dan peristiwa memilukan lainnya. Secara konseptual, dark tourism dapat menjadi sarana edukasi yang mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai sejarah dan kemanusiaan. Dark tourism sebagai wisata edukatif dapat memperluas wawasan pengunjung tentang isu-isu global. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji berbagai studi sebelumnya mengenai dark tourism dalam konteks wisata edukatif melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dan diperoleh tiga puluh sembilan karya-karya ilmiah terpublikasi melalui Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Taylor & Francis, serta situs-situs jurnal nasional lainnya, dengan kata kunci dark tourism, dark tourism dalam lingkup wisata edukatif, educational tourism, dark tourism and education, dan experiential tourism education. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari berbagai bentuk situs dark tourism, museum merupakan kategori edukatif yang paling umum ditemukan karena secara langsung menyajikan informasi sejarah dan narasi tragedi. Kategori lainnya mencakup bekas medan pertempuran, taman dengan nilai sejarah, kamp konsentrasi, lokasi pemakaman yang telah direkonstruksi, bekas penjara, patung peringatan, hingga kawasan seperti pulau lumpur berfungsi sebagai sarana pembelajaran kuat pada situs-situs dark tourism.
